The CityRay Demonstration unit, that's making its mark!!

The long awaited CityRay demonstrator unit is here and has already started showing off its efficiency and effective sweeping around Queensland and New South Wales.

Everyone prefers to see and test a unit before purchasing so we decided to build a demonstrator unit but not just any unit a CityRay 5 on an Isuzu FSR dual control with extra features on top of the standard features. Our aim was to ‘show off’ our CityRay and it has worked!

In March, it travelled down South into NSW and had an amazing reception by the Council’s visited. A few things were commented on, such as ease of maintenance, made easier by the Groeneveld auto greasing system fitted. The standard safety features plus extra safety features fitted by MaxSafe such as reverse watch, speed limiter and anti-rollaway were also a big hit with the Council officers.

This unit has all the fantastic standard features of the CityRay plus more! To aid with manual handling of the boom it has a Linak electric assisted boom, to aid with cleaning of the screens it not only has drop-down screens but also a screen vibrator with internal and external switch, extra storage for broom and shovel plus a rear directional light bar and a front LED light bar.

Once finished in NSW our unit headed up North into Queensland and once again had a great reception. A driver, who has always driven another type of road sweeper, test drove our CityRay suction broom and was amazed at how easy it was to operate. This is obviously a very important aspect of a sweeper, ease and ergonomics of the controls.

Collection after 25 minutes of sweeping around town, mixed material such as leaves, dirt and partial bluestone after small area of reseal.

We listen to feedback provided to us and continuously upgrade/improve different aspects of our CityRay machines. One recent upgrade was made to the internal cabin console area to further provide ease of access to controls. You will see this in our current demonstrator model.

This demonstrator is in high demand and we are ecstatic with the positive feedback we have received and it has not finished its demonstration run yet!!!
