Australian Sweeper Specialists comprises of Mike Trace Engineering (MTE) and MTEnvironmental Sales and Services (MTESS), a combined experience of over 30 years in the industry. Both companies are 100% Australian owned and family operated.

Mike Trace Engineering (MTE) opened its company in 2002 and soon one became many as the sales and services team grew throughout Queensland. With this followed the recognition of our high quality of workmanship and reliability. MTE is based in Brisbane and provides sales, servicing, spare parts, and training on all makes and models of sweepers.

In 2017 MTE branched out and started the process towards selling our own suction sweepers, after deliberating on this idea for a few years. This decision came after we had promoted, sold, repaired, and provided training on a number of other sweeper models for over 15 years. We could see a gap in the market that we believed we could fill.

​

Using knowledge gained through discussions with our customers regarding the needs and requirements of what they wanted in a sweeper, what was a necessity to make sweeping easy, environmentally friendly, efficient, productive, safe, and cope with Australia's harsh conditions, a sweeper was designed in collaboration with Ceksan.

​

Through many discussions with Ceksan regarding modifications required to meet the Australian market and a trip to their factory, a CityRay built for Australia was developed. This sweeper unit is different from any CityRay sweeper unit sold anywhere else in the world. It is unique to Australia and MTE has the sole import rights. MTE are the sole importers of all Ceksan products including the CityMouse.

Once the sweeper kit was designed a key factor was that it could be offered to our customers on a range of chassis. our kits are versatile and fit on most chassis' models including the Isuzu, Hino, and Volvo.

The first Australian designed CityRay suction sweeper was sold in 2019, built to the specifications requested by our customer. Since then, we have sold many more units and built a demonstrator unit to enable customers to drive and operate one of our units.

The first suction road sweeper on a Volvo FE was built by Australian Sweeper Specialists, an achievement we are very proud of!

MTESS is based at the Gold Coast and specializes in sales, spare parts, servicing, and repairs of all makes and models of sweepers.

​

MTESS has the sole import rights to all Karcher Municipal (previously Holder) multi-functional machines which are imported from Germany into Australia. We have a strong passion for staying ahead of the competition by researching thoroughly the cost effectiveness, reliability, and engineering of all products we design and sell.

MTE and MTESS are listed as preferred suppliers on Vendor Panel for Local Buy (Qld), WALGA (Western Australia), South Australia (LGAP), New South Wales (LGP), Tasmania, and Victoria (MAV).
